[site specific] is a digital platform for discovering public artworks that live in and with the city. Starting in Zurich, and with a goal to expand beyond, our mission is to give public art the visibility it deserves — not as background, but as destination.

Every piece featured on the platform is tagged on an interactive map, inviting visitors to explore the city like an open-air gallery.

From monumental sculptures to subtle interventions, from permanent pieces to temporary projections, each work reveals its story through the eyes of curators, art mediators, photographers and artists. These insights will coordinate you in a living cultural landscape.

Not a guide — but a growing community archive.

Zurich is rich with public art — from discreet interventions to monumental statements — yet sometimes it still remains unseen.

We saw an opportunity to bring the artworks into sharper focus and to create a space where the information, often scattered across different sources and in different languages, could come together in a curated and explorer-friendly format.

[site specific] was created to centralize knowledge and celebrate Zurich public art landscape - through the voices of its art community.

We are here to cherish the artists and their creations, to learn more with the art historians and curators, and to map our journey across the city - to see it in a completely different light.
