About Us
The Verein für Kunst und Gesellschaft (VKG) is a non-profit independent association based in Zurich, Switzerland. We are dedicated to supporting public art, cultural knowledge, and artistic practice in Switzerland and beyond. The [site specific] platform is managed by the association.
Our Purpose
VKG operates on a non-profit basis and pursues no commercial interests. Our core goals include:

Building and maintaining a digital community archive for public art in Switzerland and internationally.

Promoting art education and cultural preservation related to public and site-specific art.

Organising public programmes, panels, and digital initiatives that support knowledge sharing and the cultural commons.

Supporting artists and curators through mentoring, advising, and providing guidance on professional standards, contracts, rights, and intellectual property.

Initiating or facilitating public art commissions and productions, acting as a mediator between artists, institutions, and communities.
Governance
VKG is led by:

The General Assembly – the highest governing body of all members.

The Board – responsible for ongoing operations and external representation.

The Advisory Board – a consultative body offering strategic and expert guidance.
The Board of the VKG is comprised of three:
Olena Iegorova - President, Executive role
Michael Eder - Treasurer, Executive role
Martina Huber - Member at Large, Advisory role
Non-Profit Status
VKG is a non-profit association. All funds are used exclusively to support the organisation’s purpose.
Membership
Membership is open to individuals or organisations, who support the goals of the association.
Requests for membership can be submitted by email to the Board.
